This restoration began with the body being stripped of many years of paint. The car is now being reassembled as a Resto-Mod with Wilwood disc brakes and 302 V-8. The cylinder heads were flow benched at Valley Head Service by Larry Ofria himself. This is the same man who did all the cylinder head work for Carroll Shelby's...
This car came to us as a shell and several boxes of parts and pieces. We were tasked with not only putting it back together but also determining the correct path for this build. Our Muscle Car background and dedication to precision will enable this client to have his Charger restored to resto-mod status with modern 4 wheeled disc brakes, 5 speed transmission, and modern wiring and components throughout.
This car was in for upgrades. We installed Wilwood disc brakes, rack and pinion steering, new sway bars and finished it up with a complete paint job.
The plan for this car involves an SS dash conversion, replacing the inner fender wells, full tubular upper and lower control arm suspension, and complete rewiring with updates (we're adding air conditioning).
This car is in for a new paint job. It will be stripped to bare metal and any damage will be repaired before it is prepped for paint. It is currently being dismantled; everything must be removed, bagged, tagged and inventoried.
