A big request for this pickup is that it is driveable on the freeway. In an effort to make it more streetable in the modern world, we are outfitting it with a 305 Chevy V8 and a 4 speed automatic overdrive transmission. As we continue this project the truck will get front suspension, steering and brakes from a late model GMC pickup. These modifications will enable this car to drive on the freeway as well as around town without trouble.
